Why it’s a bad idea to design a stapler that can hold exactly one bar of staples

Let’s say you have a stapler. You’ve been using it for a while and you think it’s about to run out of staples. After checking you find out that there’s only a few left. To avoid troubles when you need to staple something in a hurry when it just runs out of ‘ammo’, you think you might want to reload another bar of staples. And then you see this:

Sometimes you wish it could just be a little bit larger :P.
